Our History
The Ohio County Water District (OCWD) was established in April 1962 by Judge Carlisle Oldham after Forrest Bell filed a petition in March of the same year for the creation of a water district in accordance with Chapter 74 KRS.
OCWD has an unlimited source of water from the Green River. Additionally, the OCWD received approval from the PSC to assume ownership of Rough River Water System, Inc. in 1997 and the City of Rockport in 2003.
